Double Graduation! August 29, 2011

 With our new Godson. I was asked to baptize him the Sunday after we got home from Singapore. “Miguel” son of Brazilian missionaries to Cuba, Elizangela and Cristiano. 

Since leaving Singapore busy has been the word of the day! First we would like to give some honor to whom honor is due! This young lady Norina Staples was one of the most influential people in causing Ashley to decide to be a lifelong missionary. When Norina was just a young lady and single she left England and came to Singapore by boat to take care of children for the Salvation army. Still single at 80+ serving God in her community in England.  

Our little friend “Jazz” is growing up now, at 15 months he is all fun and energy! Not to mention totally spoiled!

Last weekend I participated in two graduations.  The first was 5 hours by bus to get there and then 5 hours back. Then I flew to another city about 5 hours of transit time as well. The graduations are very encouraging as you can see the students all so excited about their new understanding of the Word and the opportunities in front of them.  Thanks to you all we can continue to provide training for so many here in Brazil.

Cutting some grass in a new area we are clearing I found a new spring in the field… sunk the tractor up to the engine it took an hour to get it out with the truck; after trashing the electric winch… The forest fire will be in the next news letter, ran out of space here.   Face book has the pics!
