In the
last 30 days we have experienced much grace
and grief. In Christ his comfort is
sufficient for the time and trails we face
in all the areas of our lives. 2 Corinthians
1:2-5
As you
may know during our layover in London on the
long transit to Singapore from Brazil my
father passed away around 7am on March 28th.
I was not aware of it until we arrived in
Singapore late the next day. As soon as we
knew I rushed to repack my bags and flew
directly to the US. Upon arrival I had spent
42 hours in planes during the four days in
transit. All ended well as we all know that
dad is with the Lord. As you can see he was
a happy guy! I am compelled to share the
most impacting part of his legacy with you.
I am proud to say that my greatest
inheritance is my family name that is
respected. His name has brought favor and
blessing to our family because of my
father’s life and testimony as a man of
character and integrity in our community.
Proverbs 22:1 “A good name is rather to be
chosen than great riches, and loving favor
rather than silver and gold.” In Honor of my
father we have a memorial fund to be used
for drilling wells in the Amazon. Anyone
interested can make a donation through our
ministry account and make a note for the
memorial fund.

Singapore
is one of the most architecturally beautiful
and highly developed cities in the world,
clean, green, perfectly manicured and fast
paced it is called the garden
city.
By the
church most consider it the Antioch of the
Asian church, sending missionaries to the
world and powerfully impacting the nations
for Christ

Today
Ashley and I are in Singapore ministering in
many different Churches and small groups
around the country and keeping a very, very
busy schedule. We are meeting friends,
pastors and other ministers and ministries
that have been a part of our ministry
supporting and praying for us the last 10
years. Ashley was here in October last year
presenting the vision of reaching the Amazon
tribe and establishing ISOM training schools
there for the Indigenous leaders. Looking at
James 2:14-18 14What good is it, my
brothers, if someone says he has faith but
does not have works? Can that faith save
him? 15If a brother or sister is poorly
clothed and lacking in daily food, 16and one
of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed
and filled," without giving them the things
needed for the body, what good is that? 17So
also faith by itself, if it does not have
works, is dead. 18But someone will say, "You
have faith and I have works." Show me your
faith apart from your works, and I will show
you my faith by my works. With this
scriptural motivation and human compassion
the work of bringing clean drinking water to
these forgotten tribes is of utmost
importance as well... We are presently
trying to raise the funds to purchase the
new drilling rig and boat for transporting
the ministry team and also facilitating the
drilling of the wells.

The
ISOM Office in Brazil is doing well in our
absence which is a great testimony to our
well establish secretary, Thais.
She
has been faithful to us through all our
challenges and has capably taken the reins
of the school. We have had consistent
interest in new schools opening. The ranch
is being well taken care of and a few
project completed by the new property
manager, Armstrong.

Just
before leaving Brazil I did my first ever
live video “online” preaching to a group of
200 potential ISOM students! It was really
fun and a very new experience preaching to a
group 1,000 miles away through a tiny webcam
sitting on my desk. As a side note I now
have a Skype account and can be found there
as “amazonpaul” or under my email

January
2012 will be our missions focus month for
the ISOM missionary training school. I hope
you have heard that we finished the
Missionary Training Center in March. With
the exception of putting in the counter tops
in the kitchen three bathrooms.
At the
MTC; fruit in the Kingdom of God is already
being harvested! A number of youth have
accepted Christ, six were baptized and
nearly all of them came forward as an act of
consecrating themselves to Christ. A
majority committed to answer the call of God
in their lives to serve God with all of
their heart, soul and strength. These are
the ones we are focusing on to train up and
send out to the nations!

Three
years ago we took the step of faith and
started the ISOM Missions Training Center to
build a place to train up and send out
Missionaries with the ISOM International
Curriculum. Unwittingly I dubbed it “The
Noah Project” simply because I was building
it knowing that some time in the future God
alone could fill it… God walked us through
this vision and saw us through to the “end”
which is the beginning as a functional
training center; $250,000 and 21/2 years
later. Today we are in the beginning stages
of another vision that God has placed on our
hearts. I believe all of us would agree this
one should have been called the “Noah”
project… I guess God has a bit of a sense of
humor in this… Now I am not sure what to
call this “Boat” project. Having said all
this I thought I would share with you an
interesting conversation I just had on Skype
with a friend in Florida.

|
Christian: In
Christ, I can do all things
well.
Paul Perry: Working
on that one myself. Starting a project to build
a boat was a far stretch... did not realize how
tough Noah had it! Not sure if I am out on a
limb or trying to walk on
water...
Christian: If it
were easy, God wouldn't have told you to do
it
Paul Perry: Well not
sure if that’s true but He sure would have had
an easier job getting it done! This is
definitely beyond my own
ability.
Christian: he he
he!
Paul Perry: Wouldn't
mind walking on water but there are big
alligators in the Amazon and piranha
too!
Christian: God
doesn't look for a man to do “easy” because
then the man wouldn't have to trust Him to get
it done
Paul Perry: The more
I know, the more I see how this will be an “all
God” or nothing proposition. Which I am sure;
now, this is the way it should always
BE!
Christian: Amen,
Blessings, and don't give up when your dream
stares back at you and laughs.

This
is the draft of the vessel for transporting
the support team, the drilling equipment
with material and medical teams as needed.
To date we have raised over $120,000 about
1/3rd of what is needed to finish the
project as originally estimated. As I
continue pursuing detailed estimates to
construct it; it is apparent that the price
will be more than first estimated. We are
still doing everything we can to minimize
cost and still have what is best suited to
the long term needs. Appreciate your prayers
towards the efforts. We are currently
researching the price of the two engines and
gear boxes and the cost of proper
construction blue prints.
Thank
you all and God bless you for your prayers,
encouragement and financial support of the
visions God has given us!
Sincerely,
Paul
and Ashley Perry
